Isle Royale

    Never fished around Isle Royale before and have a trip planned in two weeks. It seems as though most of the lake trout hang on or around the reefs surrounding the island. Is this normally the case? Or can a guy get by just fishing out in front of grand portage?

    Are there any new reports from this area? I might head up that way in the next week or 2.

    I haven’t seen or heard anything myself but I’m headed up this week/weekend, depending on weather.

    I may be looking to fill an open seat if anyone is interested.
