Took Anya to the vet yesterday, first time as an “adult” (1 year old). I’ve had a tradition with my dogs that after they go to the Vet we go next door to Burger King and they are rewarded with a cheeseburger. I never expected this. So glad I caught it on video!

That’s a smart dog. A BK burger is not a reward – Its punishment – cruel and unusual punishment !!!! jester

She’s watching her figure. Try a DQ pup cup.

    Ha!

Our last dog, a Great Dane, would have pushed me in front of a bus for raw liver. He would literally inhale a half pound chunk. When Ripley’s first birthday rolled around, I picked up a nice chunk of liver for him, and he wouldn’t touch it. )

Our dog Daisy figured out how drive thrus work after she got a cup full of bacon from BK; or any drive thru such as the bank, or pharmacy. Someday I’ll get a photo.

I think the only food I’ve ever found that my dog won’t eat is Xtreme Cheddar Goldfish.

My lab will eat anything my 3 year old drops or hangs to low. He will not eat a pretzel however. Dropped them plenty of times he sniffs it and walks away.

The only things we’ve found our dog won’t eat are pretzels and leafy items like lettuce. He’ll swallow most everything else whole. Loves carrots and broccoli.

When we got our 1st Vizsla I went to a class on training her. Not for hunting but for her to be a good family companion. The trainer told us for positive reinforcement or to give her medication(pill) give her a piece of hot dog or hide the pill inside a small piece of hot dog. Well that sounds like a plan but it didn’t work. She wouldn’t touch a hot dog. She would sniff it and walk away. Think of that every time I eat one. Makes me wonder what she knew and I don’t. ???

My dogs always eat the treat that the pill is hidden in and spit out the pill.

We had a Sheltie mix years ago. Smartest dog without any training I ever seen. He knew how to shell salted in the shell peanuts and eat just the peanut. Ate grapes. Had a talent for backing up to anything that was above ground by a foot or so. We were seasonal campers during the time we had him. If friends would stop by for campfire evening drinking they would bring a cooler and set it on the ground next to them. I watched him more than once back up to peoples coolers and leave a hot pile on top of them! rotflol I had all to do to keep from bursting out laughing watching him do it.

I’d just sit and wait for people reach to their coolers to grab a fresh beer!! hah hah I do miss that dog! sad

That is amazing that Anya wouldn’t eat that cheeseburger. Thanks for sharing the video. My lab would have ingested that thing – and 3 of my fingers – in a heartbeat. The only thing she turns her nose up to is woodcock.

We had a Rottweiler when i was a kid that would eat a cheeseburger and then spit out the pickles seconds later. He loved the cheeseburgers but somehow was able to sort off the pickles in his mouth.

Every dog knows about the pill scam.
