Until then, all lives matter.

That doesn’t fit his agenda or argument. Just another typical want to play the black card kind of guy. Probably still thinks white people stole blacks from Africa and that Irish people were not slaves for much longer.

that statistic isnt telling the whole story. White people comprise over 76% of Americas population per the US Census Bureau while Black people make up only 13%. If all things are equal your number should be much higher.

“Among Black Americans the rate of police shootings between 2015 and June 2021 stood at 36 per million of the population while for White Americans the rate stood at 15 fatal police shootings per million.” Translation – based off of population numbers you are more likely to be shot by police if you are black

Crappie, yes I clearly know that per 100,000 people, you are more likely to be killed by a police officer if you’re black.

But don’t forget the other side of the statistics.

There is a generation and small sub culture of the black community that live the gang banger thug life. A few bad apples doesn’t ruin the whole bunch, but let’s not kid ourselves, if you’re black (especially a young black male) you’re far more likely (per 100,000) to be a violent criminal or be murdered yourself.

A small percentage of the population accounts for the majority of homicides and homicide victims every year.

RJ, when you say stuff like you just did you’re enabling guys like Justin. When you say things in terms of absolutes about the left it seems like you have just as narrow vision.

This was my point a few posts up if you read that.

I know plenty of liberals and conservatives that are rational and capable of seeing others points of views. I share boat time with some of them on this forum.

This doesn’t have to be a liberals are the enemy or vice versa thing. Unfortunately, Justin isn’t helping but your comments don’t either.

To crappie. The slaves that came across to the US were bought and traded for, from non other then other Africans and Egyptians. There were not kid napped, even tho buying some one is so so wrong. But that was a thing. Slavery is still a huge thing in those parts of the world. Africans owned Africans and sold them all over. ( which is still totally messed up). Every one seems to think the white man just stole them. Black on black slavery is still a very very real thing.

Appreciate the reply. Im aware that many Africans were slavers and captured and sold their own people or neighboring tribes. I guess i understood that as part of the equation not the entire equation. In any event, we can all agree the actions of everyone involved slavery were F****** up.

Slavery is still a thing in many parts of the world. It’s in their culture. Also we have slavery still in America, only we have yuppie-ifyed it and now call it “human trafficing” or “sex trafficing.

I’ve seen 3 traffic stops on my last 3 commutes heading into to or leaving DT mpls via I-394. Maybe they’ve changed their approach recently or I’ve seen the golden egg.

They brought it up on the news last night when talking about road rage with the recent passing of the youth coach. Trooper on there said they are seeing people in excess of 30mph over the limit and being aggressive. It sounds like they are going to clean it up, but not sure they have enough people to do it. They encouraged people to call in road rage and aggressive driving.

A few mass enforcement areas like the old DWI traps will slow them down. Bring in 25 cops to handle a 5 mile stretch and write tickets.

I ran 77 mph from Duluth to St. Paul & back yesterday. I was passed often and saw 1 officer writing a ticket. Nobody wants the cops to go crazy over it, but if we are speeding we have nobody to blame but ourselves if we get pulled over.

BTW, if you fire a gun from a moving vehicle whether in a neighborhood or freeway, you should get 25 years with no parole no matter if you hit anybody or not. Grow up, the world isn’t all about you.

I’m using the term liberal as an extreme Democrat. I have relatives that are democrats, and liberals. I can have good political discussions with my democratic uncle, which are nice to have and both parties learn something. I can’t have discussions with my liberal aunt. She is incapable of anyone’s viewpoint other than her own. And it’s extreme.

Here is how “most” of my conversations have gone with liberal family or friends in the past 4+ years…. Liberal friend… ” minorities are oppressed in this country “… Me… “who is oppressing them ?”… Liberal friend… “we all are, whether we know it or not”… Me… “I don’t know how my getting up and going to work and paying my taxes is oppressing anyone, other than myself…”… Liberal friend… “your a racist”… Me… walk away.

I’d consider myself an independent first and foremost and if anything leaning toward the libertarian side. I tell ya what these last few years have been a nightmare because I often don’t end up agreeing with either side!

I suppose to an extent I’m a racist. I can live with it, I’m not embarrassed by it. It’s the time and location I was raised in, back in the day of my youth it was predominately “white Minnesota”.

Now what I have is a very low tolerance for are idiots. To many people don’t think or aren’t capable of thinking for themselves. To many people can’t figure out how to do whats best for them or their family. They need to be guided and provided for like they were a 5 year old. Those people I find come in all colors, sizes & shapes.

I am what I am, and not likely to change much at this age.

Like I said i’m good with it. I have learned through my life on earth alot of people want to be something they aren’t, just to make themselves feel good. Or to show others that hey, i’m not prejudice, I like all sexes of people, yada,yada,yada. Most are as phony as a $3 bill.

I watch nature kind of closely. It’s interesting you never see sheep sleeping next to Wolves, never see Rats & Mice hanging with Snakes. Kinda makes me wonder about this inclusion movement some are touting. Do you think there is suppose to be a natural divide between things?
