Just take a trip through Chicago unless your doing 80 plus you are not going to keep up . Seen plenty of cops with cars pulled over , must of been doing 90 in a 70 is all i can think .

I’m reading this waking up in the country. I bet when my wife came home last night from work she left the front doors open that I left open when I went to bed. Does that have something to do with confirmation bias?

I grew up in the country. I remember it was right around Oct 22nd 1989 we started locking our doors at night…

The Uptown deal blows my mind….I don’t know why they’ve allowed it to turn in a third word country down there. Definetly another case for more police.

Lots of violent crime in the out-state. Anybody who thinks there isn’t has their head in the sand. I’m not saying it’s as bad as the large metro areas but it’s there.

Agreed, here’s some related incidents from the Cass Lake, Moorhead and Rochester in the last 24 hours. My point is we should be looking for solutions for these significant issues, rather than being like “well MSP is liberal, and I’m not, so I hope they reap what they sow”. I don’t know the answer to this stuff, but I do know digging into our preconceived sides isn’t helping.

None of my co-workers will ride light rail. It has turned into a public funded flop house.

I haven’t used this in about 18 months now but there were a couple stops between Mpls and the airport/MOA that were very sketchy before the pandemic/civil unrest period. Lake Street and Cedar-Riverside come to mind. The quantity of people that rode that thing without paying was rampant too. You’d see someone get on for one or two stops and then get off. No way they paid a full fare for that.

Really kinda sad because its a pretty good piece of infrastructure. I found it very convenient to take that from Mpls to the airport, especially during peak traffic hours.

I went to a twins game back when i was in college.
Got back to my car after the game and my window was shattered (Still Daylight). Contents of car stolen. I was parked in an open lot near the stadium. Standing from my car i could see 10 officers. I called 911 to report the crime. They said go online and file a report. I was about stuttering unimpressed. I then said “Should i just sweep this glass onto the parking lot?” They said “yup”. “File a report, there’s too many of these to respond with an officer”.

    Cities makes me wanna gag.
Never been enough officers to wrangle that mess.

I remember touring the U of M as a recruited athlete. I couldn’t fathom the living conditions. HARD PASS!

    Matt,
Currie had 2,500 visitors buying beer and burgers this past Saturday. Population of 233. Bro supervised as a deputy. No issues.

I have a friend that owns a condo in the North Loop in Minneapolis and she is trying to sell to move out of the city. She said multiple units are for sale in the building and hers has been on the market since April with no offers. She said others are selling because of the crime they have been seeing but im sure other units are for sale because of some business that have moved out of the city.

Kinda sad because I feel the city was cleaning up a bit before all the drama happened.

As to the original post ever since the whole covid shut down I feel people have been treating the interstate as a drag strip. I’ve seen it in all areas but mostly from Minneapolis to St. Paul.

Police: *execute Black people consistently without cause *

People: ‘this is terrible, will someone hold the officers accountable?’

Police: *Somehow convince large portion of the population that petty crimes and misdemeanors are sufficient reasoning to end someone’s life*

People: ‘maybe we should defund the police if they aren’t going to be held accountable for murdering people’

Police: ‘but but how will we do our job? Well, that’s it, if we aren’t allowed to recklessly mow down black people and get away with it, then it’s just not possible for us to do our job’

People: Well no, we just mean like, why are you kneeling on a handcuffed dude’s neck until he dies? Like, just put him in the back of the car or just you know, don’t kill him.

Police: Sorry that’s going to be a deal breaker for us. We need like zero accountability ever, and like, while we are at it, I’m going to turn off this body camera, I don’t need it. I have three months training and a loaded sidearm let’s gooooo.

People: ‘Sooooo, you’re saying that all of these 100% avoidable murders are the hill you’re going to die on? Like “If we’re not given full immunity in all circumstances no matter what, then I don’t even know if I can make traffic stop anymore”.

Police: uhh yeah, that’s what we are saying . We are now going to just stop policing altogether in hopes that this convinces people that it’s the politicians that are causing all of this crime to go up.

Other people: OMG what’s going on in MSP the cities going downhill, the liberals are at it again!

Name one person, leave out career criminals who are overdosing at the time they’re in custody. He didn’t care one bit about his life so why should anybody else? Im tired of hearing about that waste of oxygen.

This absolutely ridiculous post is proof that (at least one) liberal is at it again… coffee

So what your saying is people are out killing each other and innocent kids, doing drivebyes and murders every few days to prove something to the cops and politicians. Or is it to show who’s lives really matter? I’m confused 😕

Last night alone off lake and Hennepin they had reports of 45 shots being fired between people.
Seems like a great place to hang out at night. And have your kids out side playing.

Wonder what Justin thinks about this.
