Is there any way to get full lock to lock steering with a rotory system?

I would like to be able to turn my motor as far as I would be able to with my steering wheel as I would with tiller steering. Has anyone ever seen or heard of a way? It seems silly to me to only get about 75 percent of the available left to right swing on the motor. Everything is new and works as it should and works like everyone else says it should but I think its b.s. that I cant turn it ALL THE WAY. Do I need to make some sort of bell crank to multiply the steering swing?

Remember, disconnect it from the steering cable, not the on-center bracket on the motor. The further that mounting point is away from the motors centerline/pivot point, the greater the distance of travel.

Ok. I have the seastar nfb steering system and I don’t see a spec for stroke distance anywhere. I guess that’s why I didn’t think about it when I got it.

I have 8 1/4″ of steering cable stroke and 11″ of engine swing.

I think the problem with a bellcrank would be being able to mount it where it can pivot with the engine tilt/trim.

Can you post a picture of what the center-post on the outboard looks like, is it feasible to re-locate the linkage arm attachment point closer to the outboard centerline?
