Looking at a used boat and owner says does not know how many hours. Don’t newer boats come with hour meter? I have read ads where they say they have a print out on motor hours and rpm. How much roughly does that cost and what is involved?

Have him take it into a Yamaha dealer and they can give him a computer print out of hours and how many hours at certain rpms.
Does it have yamaha digital gauges? If so outboard hours are provided on the gauge, usually under the MPH reading?
A dealer can give you far more outboard data (compression, hourly RPM usage ranges etc…) but the hours should be on the yamagauge.
