is cutting the cord worth it anymore?

I’ll hopefully cut the cord next year once the local sports teams get off Ballys. I thought that would have been this season but they didn’t get the alternative done in time..

One thing to watch out for though with Comcast is once you cancel your cable tv service, they increase your Internet service fee because it removes a “bundle discount” so your savings aren’t as big as you think it will be…but you’re still saving some $…

Capn i asked the lady and she said that’s why you set up separate ssdi or some crap ? No idea what all that means but she’s pretty technically advanced in those ways.

The good thing about the Bally bankruptcy is that it forced alot of teams to look at alternatives for broadcasting their games, it will likely take a season to iron out all of the bugs, but hopefully next season there are a few solid solutions most use…

It feels like most teams want their own streaming solution so they have more control of their product and cut out a middleman (just look at the Wild testing out their own streaming channel this preseason)…The other nice thing about a basic streaming service is that they don’t have screen projection restrictions you see with Apps (Sending your Iphone screen to your TV screen) Comcast and Ballys don’t allow it…

OTA options have limits in terms of reception area and folks needing to dumb down their tv’s…
