Run and gun, grab a bucket to sit on, a small open utility sled to hold/haul minimal gear in then drill, check activity and fish. No bites in 10 to 20, move and a red rover, red rover do over.

Looks like a good start Gabe, you will have to figure out what setup of holes and heater and gear works for you, best thing is always using the house for a basecamp and warming shack, if not to cold, keep moving around and only set up once you have located fish or need to warm up. Good luck!

i’d say its mobile enough. i start by drilling a few holes then going around checking them for fish, if nothing i keep on moving. i dont even get the fish house out til i locate active fish! set the shack up til the fish move and start over again. Of course this is all dependent on what your fishing for. Most times while fishing crappie/perch i dont even use the fish house. Walleye fishing i’ll have the house setup though. Little different story there, i hunker down for the morning/evening bite.

Gabe you have to figure out in your own mind what running and gunning is.Taking a 2 man, punching a couple holes and fishing them and doing that same thing 6to 8 times might be it.This what i do ,I have my flip over ,pick a spot on the lake you what, set up fish , if you arnt catching the size or quanity move, Ihave fishing bibs, put all you need in the pockets, fishfinder, one rod, ice scoop, fanny pack turned around to your belly.my auger is a hammer drill and a lazer auger i can drill about 40 holes with that. NO pail ,people that see a guy with a pail they what to look, again NO pail ,put said fish in fanny pack or bib pockets. If you fish Xamount of holes and 3or 4 are the best take your shack over and set up on them . I fish western wis, and if your not somewhat sneaky you have people drilling around you all day long. DK.

Gabe, $100 will buy you a 1 man HECO ice fishing shelter. Its a taller one but you can’t beat a HECO. And you can’t buy these off the internet or stores. I have one I would sell?

Hey Gabe, instead of a 2 man, how about a one man-one woman flip over? And there are other “styles” besides run and gun! yay

    Interested?
