Anyone else get a phone call with a recorded message saying the IRS is suing you? They left a number to call and it’s not an 800 number. I just don’t believe it’s legit.

X2. If the IRS ever has a question you will always see snail mail first, not even e mail.

The caller claims to be an officer from the local police department notifying you that you owe XX,XXX dollars due to a “specific” form you did not fill out while applying for Financial Aid, and that if you do not pay there will be a warrant issued for your arrest.
If you think about it for any longer than 2min, you can see right through the scam, but it definitely had many a few students concerned.
