Anyone else having problems with their Ion Blades cracking on one of the screw holes? This is my second set that I have had problems with. Thought the first was a fluke. This set literally has maybe 40 to 50 holes on them. (2.5 days of fishing)… Not real happy at $40 a set.

Do you reopen a lot of old holes? Say in a permanent house? I know all augers will bounce a bit when reopening old holes. Just curious.

No….don’t have a permanent shack….Thursday afternoon was my first venture out….brand new set of blades. Fished yesterday all day and today all day.

I would contact the Ion warranty department.

Sounds like the same issue Strikemaster had a couple years ago when they tried to cheapen things up by making them in China. They went back to Swedish made I believe and no issues I have heard of since.

I would contact ION and ask if they changed their blade MFGR and inform them, you may not be the only one. From what I have heard about their customer service it had been pretty good.

I would think they are the same blade as Eskimo. Is there a price difference. But yes I would defiantly be contacting them.
