Anyone using an ion ultralight with the straight through blades on their drill? Pros cons? Redrilling holes? Have a kdrill, while I don’t hate it, would be curious if the ion 8″ cuts smoother and has issues breaking through old holes
If it’s same blade design as the pistol bits, my experience they cut very smooth. They open old holes with ease and are smooth with no catching issues at the bottom breaking through old holes or drilling new ones.
Works great, just have the right drill for the job (specs matter, not brand).
Ion has that bit on sale for $79 right now
Main reason I asked. Again like I said I have a kdrill and I don’t hate it but wondering if the ion would be a little easier to cut with. However I do re drill holes in the wheelhouse frequently
