    Technology is amazing, but it comes with a price tag. I hate to think what these things cost. Also I would need to take a class or two to figure out how to use the darn thing.

    Basically an updated Onix with a faster processor to push the newer map software…if you always remove your electronics from your boat, keep in mind the Solix uses the same fine thread cable connections the Onix had vs the quick disconnect cable mount the Helix uses, this was a decision maker for me…

    My new boat is being rigged with two of these as we speak. They are only a little more expensive then the new helix

    Looked at them when buying two locators for a new boat last year. Went with the helix due to the lack of a quick change plug for the touch screens. It was a total deal breaker for me and my usage, not having the same type of plug as on the Helix. The cost difference was minor.

    Solix 12s linked to a new terrova. I’m not sold on the deploying of the ulterra.
