Installing Snaps on Lund Impact

I just bought a used Lund Impact 1875. It has the vinyl floor which I like. But, I do want the option of snapping in carpet. Anyone know how to install the snaps into the floor? Are they screwed in?

The boat has a full windshield. I’ve seen other boats have a small piece of canvas that snaps onto a portion of the windshield to cover the “hole” below the folding piece of the windshield. I’m assuming I can install snaps there too.

Snaps just screw in. You can get them at any marine dealer. You may have to drill first.

x2!!!!! Nothing but bad happens, says the guy that found his plastic gas tank down there.

When I’ve added screws (never done the carpet as mine isn’t removable) it was wood and no drilling was needed.

The snaps are pretty easy to install and there’s a little kit that makes it super easy for the other half that is on the material. I have some areas on mine like you describe below the windshield where I’ve replaced the snaps. Like a two minute deal. I think I bought the kit at a fleet farm a while back. They are everywhere, and Amazon shows ya options with stainless snaps if wanted.
