Just a Public Service message to fellow IDO’ers, if you have an inflatable life jacket make sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for replacing the Rearming Kit. Just noticed that mine is due.

Tim, I manually inflate mine by mouth twice per year and leave it sit over night. Just to make sure it’s going to stay inflated and hold my Spam filled butt on top of the water.

I had a float tube that would spring an air leak in one spot and count figure out why. Then I realized I was holding the bluegills upside down to take hooks out. Their dorsal fine was poking hold in the tube!

I’m sure inflatables are made better they an inner tube, but all it takes is a hook and there will be a leak.

PS the “pills” can be bought separately, no need for the complete arming kit.
