A real unicorn hunt right now. Will definitely message you if I see any magnums.

In the last 2 ammo panics, reloading supplies were the last to come back. It took a full year after ammo reappeared last time for the reload supplies to be back in significant quantities.

I’m looking for good 6.5 mm hunting bullets and finding almost nothing.

Agreed, and hopefully a few sets of eyes might come across something.

I have 1200 209 primers I would sell, but I see the 209A are slightly different. I have a bunch of powder and 12 ga wads as well if you’re looking for shotshell reloading.

I tried to post with direct links, but it didn’t show up.

These are a tremendous deal if you can get them. Very low stock when I tried to post them.

Also, Scheels has Hornady Interlock and Berger Match Hunting bullets, among others, in stock for 6.5

Midway has a bunch of 6.5 bullets in stock

Grafs has some 6.5 bullets in stock

Mid South has 6.5 bullets in stock

Precision Reloading has 6.5 bullets in stock

The last time I was in Scheels in EP they had Federal 209’s. I’ll pick some up if I come across them again.

Deano I might have a couple of boxes up at my cabin possibly. But I won’t be up there for awhile to look.

Thanks. Have checked all these before, but almost everything they had was target / match / FMJ bullets, which are unsuitable for hunting. I’m looking only for hunting bullets 120-140 grain and finding almost nothing. I suppose the target shooters use more ammo so production goes toward target bullets.

Tough times again for reloading. I remember back in the good old days of the panic of 2009 when everything disappeared from the shelves and the shortages lasted almost a year. Yeah, good times. Then the panic of 2012 lasted well into 2015 before supplies really started to return to normal. Now we’ve got the panic of 2020 and we’re coming up on 2 years…

And 6.5mm bullets are all the rage right now, so they sell fast.

All those places I listed do have hunting bullets in stock. It looks like the American Reloading Premium Mix sold out. They tend to restock them every couple weeks, and there’s no better deal on high quality hunting bullets, so check there often.

Also, those Berger VLD Hunting Match Grade at Scheel’s are one of the best hunting bullets – exceptional at longer ranges.

Sorry Dean, didn’t mean to derail your thread.

I checked my stash and I only have non-magnum shotgun primers, Fiocchi 616, Cheddite 209 and Winchester 209 on hand.

Not sure if this helps Winchester WLRM and some WLR, Federal 210 primers.

Dean, are you still looking for 209A primers?
There’s a guy on another forum with 1000 Federal 209A primers asking $90. He’s in the SW Metro area, and only willing to sell face to face. He also would consider trading brick for brick on another size of primer. I’m doubtful he would break up the brick of 1000, but I can reach out and put you in contact if you are still looking.

    Dean,
I have 3 or 4 primers I could send you, they’re Federal 209 primers. I wish I could spare more, but I haven’t seen them in 3 years and my muzzleloader requires them:) Hope all is well!

    Dean,
I know they are not sts mags, but will they work for you? Full box of 100 I found in a cabinet in my garage, I have no use for them anymore, I have other primers for my smokepole I use.
