I usually hunt with my wife or 1 buddy. Looking for any tips on a place to get some geese. Farm fields, and land. Unless their is water I can put a boat in. My usual area is being over run by people and it getting tough to hunt public waters with nobody respecting people’s space. If you know of a field or farm land I can shoot on please let me know. It would be muchly appreciated

Get in your truck and start looking. When you find a field they are using, stop and ask permission. That’s how I did it.

You’ll quickly find that most of the productive fields in easy to access areas already have a few hunters with permission. Find some secluded back roads in the area and start there. There’s a good chance those farmers have seen significantly less foot traffic.

We used to hunt fields around the Mankato area and that’s how we found the good fields. Find some tiny ponds or wetland areas on google maps and contact the nearby farmers. You may not find the honey hole, but there’s a good chance you’ll find a few areas where they’ll stick around for a couple days or even weeks. If the farmer tells you that he’s approved others to hunt and you’re also welcome, don’t be discouraged. Most waterfowl hunters are social people, they may invite you to their group for a hunt if you happen to show up to the same field. Always have a backup plan if either the birds aren’t there or an unfriendly group beat you to the field.
