Hit the Illinois yesterday out of Henry with Capt. John (Rocky) Mannerino and Jim (Muskrat) Lukancic. Snow, wind and cold temps. No big saugers, but we managed to put a few in the boat. We saw only one other boat out there. Just a few pictures of the day.

Looks like you pulled some stickbaits and vertical ?
Is your water clarity finally cleaned up?

That looks like fun. By the looks of the forecast, that might be the last trip for awhile. Single digit temps coming , that just depresses me.

We were pulling sticks about 1 to 1.2 mph in 12 to 20 fow Dean. The water clarity was about 8in.

It was fun Mica. The extended forecast doesn’t look good at all. By the time it warms up the creek will be froze up.

I know last weekend the key for me catching saugers on pool#4 was speeds of .4-.6 mph any faster and the bites stopped.

It was a fun day but it looks like the last for awhile. I Wont forget the tow strap again, it was a adventure getting the boat out, miss my tin boat on days like this. I tried pulling slow but the fish wanted it faster for sure.
