Illinois Lifts Crossbow Restrictions

    9/17/17 the Illinois governor signed a bill authorizing all people as eligible to use a crossbow to hunt deer and turkey during the entire open seasons.

    Not a fan of crossbows in the archery season myself, but state agencies want the deer shot off any way they can get it done. Probably see it in more states where it isn’t approved soon.

    I’m sure all states are trying to get ahead of CWD and EHD.

    I didn’t like crossbows at all when I was younger and stout as a bull. Now that I’m 60, (or as my buddy always says 50+) a xbow will let me hunt for a few more years.

    For illinois they are not as loud as a gunshot. Chicago will love this. devil
