muskie fishing lake carlton???

I am going muskie fishing for the first time. I am going to go to lake carlton near morrison, illinois. Any advice about tackle, techniques, or location would be great. thank you

I’m not a muskie fisherman, but I do know that a friend of mine trolls and casts cranks and big spinners on the weed lines, especially east of the docks and in and near a big bay in the back, on North side. Not sure about seasons, but I know he also uses big suckers on quick strike rigs. Sorry I can’t be of more assistance. I caught one there once while crappie fishing, but it ate the crappie that ate the road runner jig I was pitching! (It was in that big bay). Good luck!
