iFish Pro Setup

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone who has used the iFish pro has had problems with the line freezing where it meets the ice and how troublesome it is to deal with?

I have and i know ive lost fish cause of it as they drop the bait when meeting that resistance. Thinking about using that vibrating puck they sell but they want too much money and the batteries only last 8hrs or so….would be nice to have similar device but having a internal rechargeable lithium battery instead.

How about using small amount of vegetable oil of your choice where line goes through. Used to do that with windlass tip ups.

I’ve had the same issue. I’ve had a little success keeping some slush in the hole.

I’d say that the is the one downside.
