If you were going on an ice fishing trip, and could only bring 3 or 4 rods. What would they be, and why?

One rod with a strike indicator. 32 ML ( like a perch sweetheart) great deep water rod. Dead stick rod. A smaller rod for the shack.

power noodle, a rod right between a power noodle and a quiverstick, a quiverstick and a rod slightly heavier than a quiverstick

28″ Noodle, 26″ ml deadstick (bobber), 28″ perch sweetheart, 28″ walleye sweetheart. I would fish longer rods but I’m generally in my 1 man and can’t do longer than 28″.

    36″ Thorne quiverstick
    36″ Thorne perch sweetheart
34″ Thorne tripwire quiverstick with a medium light wire.
With those 3 rods I can do anything.

32″ Quick tip but do not shorten it. Believe it or not I have a QT with a inch cut off and it is too sensitive for me.

    Cover you bases.
    1. noddle
    2. something for jigs that you want to feel
    3. something for blades and lures with a good backbone
    4. A good dead stick.

And I would add in a pop up shelter (it will not take up that much room and can save a bad day). JMO

4 is easy, 3 is harder.

4 to cover both walleye and panfish

Thorne bros perch sweetheart, length to personal preference
    Jason Mitchell 28″ meatstick
Favorite bobber rod(mine is still a cheapy)
Jason Mitchell 24″ panfish and I run braid(substitute with your favorite really sensitive and light rod.

    3 to cover both.
Meatstick and bobber rig stay regardless
Probably cut out the panfish specific rod and keep the Perch Sweetheart for versatility. Will miss out on the braid for deep water light biting crappies though. Others are mono for various reasons including freeze up.

Precision jigging for the bigger fish, Noodle for pan fish, and Dead Stick, well that speaks for itself.
