I’m in assuming you don’t mind an IDO forum-noob joining in! I’ll shoot to be there by 4 pm tomorrow afternoon. I’ll plan on parking at Lakeside and walking out with my sled and gear. I have 3 heavy rods rigged for sturgeon (none of which have been tested on a real fish yet…) that I’m more than willing to share if needed and a medium-sized hub shack. I will also bring some homemade chocolate chip cookies

Wish I could make it tomorrow, good luck and keep us updated! I’m hoping to get out there for the weekend of February 8th, I’d like to use the big house for a basecamp and target sturgeon in the portables. What are the best accesses to start from with a truck and house once there is good ice? Are there any bluegill to target out there? Or just fill the time chasing walleye and sauger?

Welcome in my hub anyday
Squirrel is off the menu, got some venison reg and cheddar brats I’ll grill up. Should be a good tailgate. I’ll have my radio to listen PA call out the win. Hopefully gets good reception down there.
Not sure if I’ll be grabbing the trulys or claws for tomorrow….
January 11, 2020 at 11:12 am #1905346Nick,
Can you stop on the way and have the Hamm’s shirt monogrammed? Prolly just go with EPG, you won’t need to write it out in full. I’m packing up shortly to head out and I’m picking up the “secret bait” on the way over.January 11, 2020 at 12:35 pm #1905364Just loaded up the Griz.
CR@P! 2019 tabs.
Mailman shows up, new tabs in the mail today.

Camo otter cottage with 2nd sled full of junk next to it. Looks like I’m the first?! I talked with all the neighbors already.
January 11, 2020 at 1:25 pm #1905372I’ll bring garbage bags. Do we need a card table for the food? Anything else?
January 11, 2020 at 2:32 pm #1905392Hopefully everyone brought their strobes so you can locate each other.

Not super busy, parking should be a breeze with the game. The muni-trailer parking is just to the west (middle) of the park, there were 5 or so trucks with trailers when I parked.
DeucesPosts: 5268January 11, 2020 at 3:46 pm #1905409Look for the group of tents, otter eskimo frabill etc. Brats getting grilled soon!
DeucesPosts: 5268January 11, 2020 at 4:52 pm #1905435So how many of you guys are shooting a You Tube video and how soon can you get it posted?

January 11, 2020 at 8:06 pm #1905501Any fish yet other than the mudpuppies? I should be at the park in 30ish.
January 11, 2020 at 8:15 pm #1905504I really wanted to make it, just too much going on today/night. I’ve been really snake bit on these GTGs the past few years. Hopefully we can get another one together this winter.
DeucesPosts: 5268January 11, 2020 at 10:48 pm #1905537Still having appetizers before the bite.

blankPosts: 1786January 12, 2020 at 8:21 am #1905563To the guy that stopped and chatted a bit, and walked out to the group, I would have given you a ride out, but coming off the river going up the hill, I slid back down sideways otter sled and all. I didn’t want to wreck you or your stuff. DK

Everyone, thanks for hanging out.
DeucesPosts: 5268January 12, 2020 at 8:54 am #1905570That hill was a biatch!
All the food was unreal. Fresh fried eggrolls late at night, awesome.
Really nice to see old faces, and meet new ones.
Even popped some seltzer virgin cherries out there

We’ve got quite the pile of giveaways for the next GTG.
For being a fishing forum we sure do suck at catching fish face to face

Anybody bring a auger or just food & beer?
Glad to see you had a decent turnout and the weather was good. Sounds like a good time was had.
