Got my i-sturg-pro all setup. State of the art materials, exquisite craftsmanship. Bc of such high production costs I’m currently getting bids for overseas manufacturing, but expect inventory available for next ice season.

That is great Mr.Beads. Next year you can use a lazy boy instead of a milk crate for version 2. toast

I am getting exited! I think for the potluck I will make Smoked Tuma dip and chocolate covered bacon.

Kind of looks like something a wood butcher would build. Maybe that is why cost are so high?

What access point in the Bayport area do we want to meet at?

What time should we do the potluck dinner? It seems like most of the people who are going to try to come won’t be able to make it until later.

The north lot between Lakeside Park and the Beach House Marina has the most capacity. I’ll call my buddy Frank that manages the Beach house, maybe I can get the nod to park there?

Later sounds perfect!😁 I’ve intentions of making egg rolls now, easier to prepare and keep hot compared to chicken wings.

The pavilions at Lakeside Park have 110V outlets, and I have rented them in the past. The park officially closes at 9:00 pm and there is no overnight parking. However, if you send an email to Mary Goulette at the city by Thursday (they are closed Fridays) with just an approximate # of cars, # of people, etc. they will send a note to the Police stating that the group has gotten an okay to be parked there until early morning hours and you won’t be bothered. Email Mary at [email protected] by 4 pm Thursday. I just confirmed this with her. She’s a very nice lady, as long as you let her know. She will also allow people to use the pavilions with no reservations this time of year, just be sure that there are no open fires unless they are in the charcoal grills there at the park.
And I don’t think I need to mention it, but you will need to clean up after yourselves, the trash is not maintained so much in the off season, so bring garbage bags.
Have a good time, sorry I can’t be there.

Would we just want to setup on first main basin break? Wouldn’t be too far a walk either for those wanting to hoof it. Read posts in past it seems to be a crap shoot on where ya catch em, make it a lil more convenient for everyone?

Anyone wanting a ride i should have my wheeler, give me a PM I’ll get ya my #.

Is the original plan of fishing through the night still a thing? Right now it’s looking like I’m on dad duty until about 7pm that day.

Sounds like Beads came up with a plan and I agree.
Yes I will be fishing through the night. I am sure people will be coming and going though out the day/night as it works for them.
    24 hours to go woot

Thanks for taking the initiative and picking the awesome near spot. I might keep it simple and pull out by hand to avoid hauling and parking a trailer.

Anyone know if Joe’s has crawlers this time of year?

I have a couple smaller folding tables that I’ll throw in my truck and also a generator and deep fryer in tow as well, so probably relay back closer to our planned later potluck.

    Biggest sturg gets XL Hamm’s.

The Busch latte L t-shirt delivery is “delayed”. crazy

Is parking tight? I don’t need the wheeler, especially if it’s gonna suck parking er somewhere. With the game though may be not big of deal. Never been to spot before

    IN wave
My plan is to be there from 9/10:00am to 3.00am
I have one extra rod that someone can use. It is all set up with a lure. But it only has 15lb braid line on it.

    Joe’s did have crawlers.

I have 3dzn worms, a scoop of fatheads and some beavertail log jammers to hopefully spice things up. The bag doesn’t explicitly list Sturgeon, but I’m pretty sure that was just an oversight at the packing facility. I’m guessing the mudpuppys are going to go ape for the tail.

I’ll be out before noon, probably closer to 5am. redface

Buddy and I won’t be there until probably 6 or so. I’m still up in the air on where I’ll be parking. I’ll have my wheeler and will take the trailer with me on the ice. Someone who gets there earlier should post up Parking conditions.

I had some people bail so I’ll have open hole in the hub, if anyone’s looking for a place.

Very cool, EPG! I’ll just be excited if someone even pulls one up.

Knowing I’ll be late to the party, is there anything we’ll still need or would be nice to have? I’ll bring a rack of beer (likely Coors Light), likely some craft beers and a bottle of Gentleman Jack.

I’m thinking I’ll try to pull my Otter Cabin flipover out so I have a place to warm up. It’s looking chilly. If I bring the wheeler I can’t transport the flipover.

I’m going to wimp out tomorrow guys, was hoping the ice was good enough to take the wheelhouse out and get tuned up watching football, then spend the night.

It’s really not going to happen now since I don’t have a big shack currently (and the ice isn’t good enough for it if I still did) doah

Be safe and have fun guys!! Looking forward to some pics!

Hoping to see a Sturg GTG 1.5 in a month or so!
