James Holst and PJ Vick head to Lake Erie to fish the western basin for walleyes. They experience an awesome bite where they found success pulling snap weights and Rapala Husky Jerks, as well as long lining Scatter Rap Tail Dancers.

Any info you could provide on the rods used for pulling snap weights and boards would greatly be appreciated I would like to get into the snap weights and get away from the lead. Love the white rods they stand out nicely for strike indictors. Thanks in advance for your reply.

What brand are the white rods?

Great show, guys! Question – it didn’t appear like you needed to clear the inside lines when the outside baits were hit. Think adding the 2oz weights helped in that area? Also, what was your water clarity like? It appeared pretty clear in the show. Wondering if perhaps that’s why they were deeper?

For an alternate snap weight technique check out the 50+2 method on Precision trolling app. Very helpful for determining approx lure depth when adding 2oz weights.

Can’t wait for Erie – heading over April 15th!
