It has been decided this year will be same weekend as last year February 15-17 weekend.
The host resort again will be Red Door on the north shore. I have been in touch with them and they are very excited to host this again.
There will also be happenings at Barnacle’s just down the road.
This, like last year is not officially sponsored or promoted by In-Depth Outdoors and is only an informal event bringing IDO fans and forum members together for a planned event. (Hopefully I have given proper disclosure as to not place any liability on In-Depth Outdoors… )
Red Door does still have occupancy for motel rooms, cabins, and sleeper fish house rentals for those hoping for those accommodations. They did warn that those openings may begin to fill once the ice season commences soon.
Red Door does not require any advance payment or deposit. Provide CC info to secure your reservation and you pay when you arrive. Make sure to review their cancellation policy.

There will be door prizes and a planned social gathering Friday and/or Saturday afternoon/evening.
And yes, I did copy and paste most of this from last years announcement.
*To explain the venue selection process, there were suggestions to try a different resort and it was carefully scrutinized. After some anguishing considerations, I had to choose the only resort that offered the motel room opportunity for those that do not have wheelhouses or want to commit to a sleeper house rental. And after last year, we had 5 motel rooms booked for this event that provided lodging for at least 9 attendees.
Giddyup, prepare for icing some jumbo Mille Lacs walleyes…
