    52 days.
That’s calculated using the Imperial calendar, not quite sure how many days if you’re using the Metric calendar.

I think the calendar follows the solstice, not human invented forms of measurement. coffee

I will be up there out of the “Red Door” in a few short weeks with 2 grandsons fishing an informal tournament. Out of sleeper house #1 but my greatest worry is the lack of inhouse biffy’s…outhouse setup they have there? Never done that!

    Will still be a good experience…ha? ???

After that we’ll need to form some kind of roll call as I’ll want to let Steve Kulifaj know what to expect from this dog and pony show. laugh

41 days, I don’t know if I’m more excited for the GTG or the Vikes winning the Super Bowl.

After 2nd thought, it’s the SB victory! woot

Think I’ll try to remember to bump this post every couple days as it tends to fall off the menu after a day. Saw a fella asking for Mille lacs info for this weekend of the GTG on this forum and he had no idea we had this event planned. Now it sounds like he has made reservations to attend, so looking forward to meeting mrpike.

Looks like we have a good enough group to call it a GTG. Have some fun activities planned, and plenty of fishing…real or imagined. whistling

I may or may not have a crockpot full of Goose and Bacon chili for the GTG. If someone runs out of propane, we could harness the power of the chili…

The bite was pretty rough last week. In fact, it was rough enough that the thought of picking up and moving to URL for the weekend was a reality…and a good decision in the end…Hope it picks up! Less than a month away.

That it was…slow! Thankfully it wasn’t just me as that is what was reported by many others too. Still some nice fish caught, I managed a couple after dark.
Daytime has been the toughest, but no worries at the GTG. We’ll plan on having an amusement park out there with rides and games and don’t forget the face painting and petting zoo. laugh
If nothing else we can look forward to that goose chili. mrgreen

And here I thought you said “body” painting and petting “too”. ,,,,,, my bad.

On a serious note; I need to call Red Door, I made online reservations Dec8th for the GTG and have no received any confirmation from the resort. I certainly hope I do in fact have a room waiting for me.

You can do body painting and petting “too”…we are not there to make character assessments… blush

I think you are good on the reservation, perhaps call to confirm. You should have gotten a confirmation when you reserved online, I did. My clue though is that I checked availability before you reserved and room #1 was available. When I went back to book a room, #1 was already booked so I got #2. I’m guessing you got #1. I’ll bring my earplugs…maybe we grill in front of #1 and #2? smile

I hope so, because you will be the zoo. lol

    wink

    Glad you can smile…

Anyone that wants to exchange cell phone numbers, send me a PM with your first name and number and I’ll reply with mine.

Otherwise I’ll be in motel unit #1, driving a Silver F150 extcab w/ enclosed trailer. On the ice I’ll have a Green Arctic Cat ATV w/ windshield, pulling a one man Clam flip over. The ATV will have both a gas auger on the rear and a K-dill on the front rack.
