It’s official, we going to gather for an IDO Hunting post-season happy hour. Thought January would be a good time for a gathering of the IDO Hunting Tribe. Join us to meet your fellow IDO’ers in 3-D for once, swap some stories, and console Suzuki about yet another year of not quite enough snow to run his snow machines.

    Date & Time
    Friday, January 27
    5:00 PM to whenever.

    Location
    Jersey’s Bar and Grille
6449 Concord Blvd, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076-1814

Drinks and food are on your own for this one. Jersey’s happy hour is 3 to 6, so come early to take advantage of that.

Please reply to this thread so we know who can make it. Hope to see lot of you there. For those of you who don’t live in God’s Country (the East Metro), we’ll plan the next gathering elsewhere so hopefully the next location is better for you.

As a note, you are certainly to bring significant others, etc to this gathering.

Just let us know how many will be with you so we can have enough tables in our area.

Of course, I will be there and I’m looking forward to it very much. There have been lots of get-togethers on the fishing side, but hunting doesn’t lend itself to that as easily, so here’s a great chance finally.

I will definitely be there and I’m sure my husband Billy would love to join us. I’m looking forward to it, as we’ve been needing an IDO hunting happy hour for a while now. I would like to get a group picture while we are there so if you have an IDO shirt, feel free to wear it! mrgreen

Look, Ralph, it’s not our fault that you live so far out in the wilderness of Maple Grove. To be honest, I’m surprised the interweb even extends that far beyond the edge of civilization.

Do you have indoor plumbing out there yet?

Can’t make it. Kipp’s become concerned about his male pattern baldness and started to do the combover. I gotta get him out to the game farm and get him some confidence back.

Of course. Before I forget, here, here are pictures of my 2, and possibly only 2, Spey salmon. Wester Elerchies beat, just below Easter Ellerchies House, the “chateau” pictured on the front of the Macallen whisky bottle.

It doesn’t. I have to wait till I’m at work to access this internet thing.

C’mon IDO Hunting Crew. There has to be more of you out there who can join us.

Just to add to the fun, my food plot seed company Midwest Monster will be conducting a drawing for two food plot seed selections. Must be present to win. I’ll give away one bag of our Mega Clover Plus and one bag of our Brassicas Bender blend.

Who else is coming to the gathering of the tribe?

It actually would have taken me that long to get to St Paul from Hanover (even further into BFE) on Monday during the snow storm rush hour.

If you’re fitting in some spey casting talk I’ll mark it on the calendar. I still need to get my switch rod going.

Bummer! We’ll just have to plan another one to catch those who aren’t able to make it to this one then. Maybe a summmer gathering at a park would be fun. toast

@sticker1 – it would be nice if someone who has shot a deer in the last decade would attend. Do you know anyone?

Hey! You could do a seminar with a slide show. “Killing coyotes using the little-known sphinctorial kill spot. Clean kills, messy arrows.”

    @Suzuki
    – c’mon. We’ll buy you a beer so you can drown your sorrows at the lack of snow. After all that rain, you’re not going to be snowmobiling anyway.

Mrs. Grouse isn’t a hunter. These are the risks one takes when one imports a mail order bride from exotic foreign locales like England.

Is Suzuki going to drive from the wilds of Woodbury to make this social event of the century?

No. As noted on 4th post of original msg weekends are usually bad for me. Maybe the next one can fall on a week night? I would really like to join with my favorite wife.

Would a fishing guy be able to come crash the party, and when I say crash I mean be that awkward silent guy in the corner? Most likely be in that area Friday.

FWIW, have been known to order a round of shots whistling

Of course you’d be welcome. This is just an excuse to get together, the more IDO folks show up the better.
