Now let’s get carried away with an anti-Facebook rant here but I’m curious to know if someone could create a group on Facebook for interested IDO members? Could someone just create the group, or would we need permission from IDO to use the name/logo/etc.?
I’m sure there are many IDO members on Facebook and I think a group might be fun to be able to share photos and what not and promote articles on the site.

Ahhh, I guess that proves I don’t use FB very much… 
A few thoughts here Sharon.
First, that’s a good idea. I’ve had facebook about a year to help connect with old army buddies and family I don’t see much but I don’t do much posting, but I think that would be fun way to quickly share pictures.
However, I never thought of the name usage as you mentioned and that’s a good point. If I were a company like this with all it’s got going for it I’d definitely want to be able to weigh in on using the company name or not. And honestly I wouldn’t blame them if they didn’t allow it.
I like the idea. Up until about a year ago I avoided FB like a VD. No way was I going there but have found if you filter out the “stuff” there is a lot that is fine. I have found a few from this forum and have “friended” them. There are more I am sure but that many here use an alias name or an abbreviated name like Dan or Sharon M, you cannot find them on FB.
There is at least one member here that posts on FB multiple times daily. The notable difference is that those that post on FB share more personal or family topics. And that I do like because you can celebrate events going on in their lives. Did you know there 2 IDO members (their wives) expecting babies soon?
Anyway I suppose if we can get a blessing from IDO powers, I would join or start the group. BK…?

Hilarious things are typically that much more hilarious when they weren’t intentional, and that is awesome.
It’s a great idea, and I recommend all those who are interested try a google search of “fans of xxx” and sign up for whatever you can right away.

As tempting as that sounds, I’m not sure I’m qualified to moderate that group of mischievous knuckleheads!

Cool. It will give users another option on FB.. Fishing Minnesota and Ice Fishing Minnesota are good groups but with 18,000 members and 45,000 members respectively, it can be too much.. especially all the trolling and debates, a lot for them to moderate.
