September 26, 2021 at 9:09 am #2063360The IDO Chili Cook-Off was a blast last night! Thanks for everyone who was able to come, make chili, or contribute in other ways! I had a wondeful time getting to meet some new faces, seeing some familar ones, and it was a great evening to eat all the delicious chilis! 😋🍻🌶🥫🍅
We had a three-way tie between EPG, Rodwork, and Dave B, so the first place winner was drawn from the 3 and that is EPG! 🏆🥳 I thought all of the chilis were fantastic and each had their own uniqueness about them! Thanks so much to James for coming to the cook-off and for the grand prize!
I can’t wait to coordinate another gathering soon (probably northwest metro 😉) and looking forward to another fall cook-off next year!!

September 26, 2021 at 9:34 am #2063390My how that area has changed in 50 years. I remember shooting Carp under that bridge as a kid.
You guys had perfect weather and the food looks good.
Well done Sharon, you have a future as a event planner!
September 26, 2021 at 9:42 am #2063391Good job to all the cooks! Had a great time meeting some new people! Thank you Sharon for organizing and being the ido patron Saint of get togethers
Ron SPosts: 79September 26, 2021 at 11:19 am #2063394I just want to say thanks especially to Sharon and the chilli cookers.
What a great time. I have been following since the days of Fish The River. It felt like I finally got to meet family. If I ever gain enough river wisdom I will readily share it.
It was great event and I am looking forward to the next one.
Thanks all.
September 26, 2021 at 12:11 pm #2063401Thanks for organizing! Little Werm and I had a great time! Even got some fishing in. And Rodworks/EPG made his month by gifting him a new rod!

September 26, 2021 at 6:31 pm #2063431I gotta say, regardless of the fact that he builds rods, it was super kind of rodwork to give his prize to little werm.
Iowaboy1Posts: 3789September 26, 2021 at 7:24 pm #2063444It was fantastic to meet each and everyone of you and finally put faces with names!
Sheryl and I had a great time meeting everyone and tasting all of the chili, in my mind they were all winners in their own way.
All of us were winners with the way the day turned out after a cloudy cool start!Getting to meet the host of this site was a pleasure as well!
James, in listening to a couple of your stories it is obvious even after all of the fishing you have done I could hear the excitement of the chase hasnt left you and that the passion is still there, I hope you never lose that and it just becomes another job.A special thanks goes out to EPG for his hospitality and to Rodworks for the hilarity we enjoyed spending time with you.
Thank you Sharon for all of the time you put into getting this set up!
