IDO Chili Cook-Off!

Unfortunately will be up on leech rescuing a boat from a lift. I’d much rather be blowing up my colon at the gtg here than my back on a 4500# boat hanging in the air.

I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, drinking one of Jon’s beers , and doling out $250 to the cook with the best chili!

Sharon, how are we looking for supplies? do we need anything else? ice? cups? who’s bringing the flagpole and strobe lights?

I think we’re looking good! Maybe some bottled water for an alternative to spirited beverages? Both Dan and I are making corn bread to share.

~ I will plan to bring napkins, clorox wipes, and hand sanitizer. I’m printing up voting ballots as we speak.
~ Steve Root and wife Mona will bring bowls and spoons.
~ Rodwork will plan to bring power strips and electrical cords.
~ Jon Jordan will bring an assortment of cold beers, paper towels, and assorted fixings (hredded cheese, Fritos, crackers, sour cream, etc.)
~ James is bringing the name tags and some sharpies, maybe?
~ The Scratcher is bringing garbage bags.

Thanks everyone for your help with items! Anything else we’ll need?

I’ll bring a case of bottled water and perhaps my own assortment of “spirited” beverages

I made a yard sign too! 😁😁 So people know what’s a happenin’!

I wont be able to make it. Had to shift my daughter’s first birthday around and it ended up landing on this Saturday. Hope you all have a great time.

I received an email reminder from the city for the park reservation – and our reservation starts at 5pm. We cannot arrive any earlier to set up. Just an FYI!

Sharon just found out my family made plans for my birthday. I’m popping my eight zero of my life and for some strange reason they think I should be with them for the event. I was so looking forward to this.

I sure hope I can make some future get together in the future.

Kids Hockey try outs are tomorrow 5:30-6:30 Of Course they tell us yesterday. I wanted to go but maybe next time.

Awesome! There’s many parks and places to gather if people are interested! There’s a couple restaurants/bars near the park. Mississippi Pub and Jersey’s Bar & Grill are both good.
