Hey guys, I’m goin to be in the area tomorrow n goin to try n get on leach. Anyone know how the ice is up there n vehicle traffic or would sleds be better?? Any fish biting? First time on the lake hard water. any info is greatly appreciated!
There is good ice on most of Walker bay and the big lake for vehicle traffic, just stay clear of pressure ridges and channel areas and you should be good to go. Sleds are working okay but there is patchy glare ice and it’s eating my hyfax up a bit. Either way you are good. I have been doing okay on in 8-12 f.o.w. near the drop-offs. Fish are being caught on the humps too though those fish have been running smallish, for me anyway.
