It is very normal to have small windows of peak bites for spring Crappies. Those same fish that will not blink an eye at your best stuff will devour your presentations when the bite is on. Lately we’ve been “Window Shopping” for our crappies. Getting ourselves on the schools and ready for lunch hour. Today was no different. TOUGH bite for several hours, and then……..We cashed in bigtime!! Guys often times when it comes to those big slabs the best you can do is locate them. Then the ball is in their court. They need to open the window and you need to drop your sandwich and lay the beans to those big DONKS!! Awesome day on the water!!

Congratulations go out to IDO members Jay and Pete!! Great fish boys

Great fish and advice Chris. Crappies don’t get that big by being easy to catch, but you certainly have em figured out

Nice work guys! Keeps the rest of us excited and teaches us some patience when we are on that finicky bite!

I plan on hitting the ice more this next week. Been awful busy since my sister in law and bro in law’s house burned down over the weekend. Sad deal. Check out the pics in the General Discussion Forums under topic: Family in Need.
