Its has been a little over 3 weeks since I have been out on the ice. Went up to Mille lacs with the neighbor on sunday and dang there was a lot of ice to drill threw. Had a few spots where the drill wasnt long enough.

Now this isnt my 1st time drill thick ice but with fighting a cold it was sure kicking my butt. Got Mikes new auger stuck at one point. Thought for a minute we might be leaving part of it on the lake.

I feel for you guys that are out on the ice every day this time of year. Especially the ones that like to hole hope and drill lots of holes. Even a half dozen holes at a shot was kicking my butt on sunday.

Guys like Chris G. must have hulk arms by this time of the ice season.

Strikemaster Solo makes cutting that thick ice child’s play! Was out this past weekend and did not have much left to go when braking through. I punched a bunch of holes and didn’t even brake a sweat.

I did receive several comments on how well my auger cut!!

Ill second the Solo. My own 10 year old strikemaster auger still runs and cuts ice well but Im glad we had Mikes new Solo with. Hit the gas and let her rip. Guess I must of been just that sick.

We had to do some looking around Jason but did finely end up on fish.
