    That biggest whitefish is around 9lbs the smaller one is about 4-5lbs. It is a suprise to so many people when I tell them they are excellent tablefare. The meat on a whitefish is white as snow and very flakey. They have a stange bone structure, but once you figure it out there is a fish fry in every whitefish!! Of course Whitefish get VERY VERY little fishing pressure and this is the only time of year I’ve got them with consistency.
