Sheila and I made it up to Winnie with her brother and his wife and another couple. We went about 8 miles out of Denny’s Resort to an area we had never fished before. As we were traveling out (about 5 miles) we saw this doe who was coming across the lake. She sure looked lost as she was a long way from shore.
We got to our spot and plowed out our usual parking lot. There really wasn’t much snow to worry about any flooding but it made walking from house to house easier. The walleye action was not very good. I caught two small ones about 8 to 10 inches long and this 22 incher. The perch action however was great. We caught lots of 10 inch perch, had a great fish fry and brought fish home. This was the best perch action we had all year.

those eyes were stubborn this year up there definitely .
