I am wanting to get stocked up for next year. i would like to see if i can catch a one man and a two man clam on sale. I am looking at Nanook thermal and pro tc and a kodiak. I will go alot by myself but i have kids and friends with me sometimes. Im going to order some more Thornes brothers rods as well. I pan fish and walleye fish. If you have any experience with these shantys at all pros and cons, and how long of rods can you use in them. Thanks for all the help

Gander Mountain in Woodbury has all Clams over 200.00 on sale for 50% off as of yesterday. I guess i would call to see what they have for sure. Pretty good deal

You really need to go and sit in all of them to see what you like. Take it down, set it up, pick it up. Really kick the tires. Then after you decide what shelter you like go rod shopping after you know how much ceiling clearance you have available, will help you decide what rod length…

Next year!!!??? It’s still only February! Lots of ice time left!

I like 28″ rods for shanty fishing. It gives me room to put my buddy heater on the other side of my hole with no problems. I’m rockin’ a scout by the way.

For in the house I like 24 – 28 inch rods. 28 being the longest.

For sight fishing though you can go all the way down to the really short rods from thorne ones 19 I think the other is 16?
