    Anyone have a contact number for Marcum. I want to call and ask the availability of a showdown.

    sorry to jack this post, but looking at this unit it looks like my dad could use this…well maybe! Do fish show up as a solid line and does your lure show up also? My pops likes to plop down where ever and start fishing, would be nice to see him catch a few. Pretty basic layout, show bottom and as long as everything else is easy to understand for an old guy, might be worth the $

    The showdown will show lures, baitfish, bottom and fish. Grey scale indicates target size or location in the cone… smaller targets or targets on the edge of the cone are grey. Bigger target or targets closer to the center of the cone are darker.

    Black = set the hook!

    I think he can handle that! He can also hang the transducer over the side of the boat during open water. He is very low tech guy as far as fishing, even though he lives the dream life, retired and lives on a pretty nice lake. Goes up to our shack by Weathwood during the weekdays to drink beer and complain how he doesn’t catch anything unless us guys with those “fancy gagdets” come along to show him where to fish.

    That gave me $15 off and I can buy it cheaper than that direct from Marcum, just need to know if it is in stock because I need one for a trip coming up. Was hoping I could just call them and see.

    After digging on the web I found it 1-888-778-1208.

    Had to google Versa Electronics to get it.

    The number is actually on the page I linked. If you’re having a hard time seeing it they should do something to make it stand out more. Most of the time companies put the number in a higher profile location and often in bold but the number is there.

    they had them at cabelas in grandforks for 159 bucks.
