ice on lake onalaska

    has any one ben out on lake onalaska what are the ice conditions?i am new to ice fishing this year,how long does the ice last given the weather we have ben having?any help would be great just trying to be safe dont want my first year ice fishing to end on a bad note.

    I drove out there tonight…Theres still a good 18 inches of ice out there but there are spots with 8 -10 inches of watery slush…4 wheel drive is a must. With the rain and the 50 degree temps tomorrow its going to get worse.

    I would be more worried about the ice at the ramps…that gets mushy in a hurry with this warm weather.
