I didn’t know fish like these existed in this area, I’ve always heard of slab crappies from elsewhere (Up North) and on TV. However, I could only dream of fish like these at the other end of my line . Three seperate days of fishing and I ended up with 2 PB’s @ 14″ , 2 @ 13 1/2″, 2 @ 12 1/2″ and 1 @ 10 1/2″. In these photos the smallest is a 10 1/2″, 13 1/2″ and my 2nd PB 14″. Thanks for checking out my post. Good luck fishin.

    Dandies!

It seems like none of the lake in that area put out large fish for too long…then it’s off to searching other lakes until you’ll run across another pig fish bite.

I know of one smaller lake North East of Hutch that will put out awesome gills if it doesn’t get killed out for a few years.

    What fun huh?

I love catching big crappies and some of those definitely qualify. Very nice and congrats on the personal best!
