    This one just could not resist the wax worm. quite a feet landing it on a panfish rod with 4lb test through 2 feet of ice. No other bites all weekend, but worth it. CPR

    It always amazes me when a fish of that caliber hits a waxie on a panfish set up. Great job on getting that pig topside for a picture

    That is awesome…thats how i got my big eye of the year so far 25fow 5ft below the ice on a demon and a wad of waxies…but nice fish fun on the light gear

    Maybe waxies are like biting into a peppercorn, just bursting with flavor? Or maybe that pike remembered how good bugs were when he was a fry.

    Very nice Pike,
    I did the same thing on U.Red a few years ago on also 4# test. Took 24 minutes to land it, but sure fun. Swam off no problem.
