After dropping off my granddaughter at preschool I headed out to Volga lake to meet up with my uncle. He was already there when I got there so I hooked the tent up to the 4 wheeler and headed out. We were fishing at 16′, just on the edge of a brush pile. I t started out like normal, first fish I catch is a 5″ perch, then a 6″ crappie. Every once in awhile you could entice a 7″ gill to bite. My uncle hook into one that we are sure was a bass but before we could get it up enough to see how big it was it broke him off! So with that excitement over it was back to the small fish. About 20 minutes later I hooked one that was tearing drag off, I played him up to the top of the ice and my uncle pulled him out for me. Though a lot of small fish were caught I had a blast fishing with my uncle and landing this bass!!!
