Bluegills In the Bogs

Hit up my favorite bog today in search of bumpheads Well at 1st it looked like it was going to be a bust with very stubborn fish glued to the bottom. Then after a bit of thought (and remembering Brets report) a move was in order to find more active fish. After a relocate close to a spillway with moving water dropped the Marcum LX 3 in and I hit the jackpot with suspended fish marked 5-7 feet down in 10 feet of water.I kept the 1st 10 nice ones that committed to my Custom Jigs and Spins clown colored gill pill tipped with a waxie after that it was catch and release. The last picture is a warning to be careful as they may regulate the water on the bogs making for some spooky ice conditions.

Sorry not much for pictures as they kept me pretty busy

Very nice Pat. I haven’t caught any nice gills through the ice yet this season.

Glad to see you got on some fish without my guidance Pat . Eye surgery sucks.

Nice bulls (and bullettes)! They look like they would roll off the fillet plank if you tipped it at a 45 degree angle!
