Since I’m a diehard ice fishermen, I’ve been taking advantage of school finals and the fact that we got out at 1 each day since Wednesday. We also had last Monday off. So since last Saturday, i’ve been fishing every day! 
and to say the least, it has been good!! 
now most of you I’m sure were just sittin in the house waitin for the fish to come by? Right? Well, once it gets to this time of year, and traffic on ice is heavy, I have one word for you, MOVE! Throughtout the last week, thanks to strikemaster, i’ve drilled 127 holes. Needless to say, I couldve drilled more. I’ll start with last weekend(Saturday, Sunday, Monday). me and a buddy explored brand new area. I’m sure many of you guys saw us. Well it was not easy. The morning bite in 5fow was slow. I quickly figured these fish were deep. Once again the strikemaster was rockin. Quickly I found the perch all nice fish right around 11in. We caught most of our fish with a red jig with 3black dots on one side and blank white on the other. We ended with 17 for the two of us on saturday. Same spot on Sunday and Monday produced fish all day, however we threw all of em back. Now, to the report since last Wednesday. Found ourselves antsy to explore new area because, if you haven’t tried it, it’s the greatest feeling in the world when your game plan works! Sure enough it did this time we were shallow. 3-4fow. But the fish were there! however they were all 6in long. Good sign for the future. After awhile, we drilled holes to see if we could find some bigger gills. And we couldn’t 
so we put together another plan. I was going to move deeper, while Jeremy was going to fish structure. Sure enough we both found em. However I found the honey spot for 9in gills!
quickly we set up the clam and caught all kinds of nice fish 
once again we let them go because we will be fishing a tournament there next weekend. All fish were caught on a slender spoon at this spot. And the key to getting em to bite was to give it two good jigs and then let it float right back down the hole.
