Aqua – Vu Scout / Using Bigger Battery

    Okay..I have a camera that I battle with the battery on my outings… Can I use a 12V (Lawn and Garden Battery) with alligator clips to connect the two ? Does it need a fuse of any sort….has anyone done this ?

    Done it- works well! There should be a fuse on your red(?) wire.

    Okay sounds good…I’ll have to re look at it…been awhile since I’ve looked at it…Just have used the Vexilar this year so far. Thanks FinMan

    I took a second look at your first post. Are you wanting to connect 2 batteries together, or just use a l&g battery? If going to hook both of them up, be sure to hook them up in parallel( red to red, black to black) Wired in series will give you 24v= bad for camera!

    I use a full size Group 27 Interstate to power my Aqua View camera. Do yourself a favor and leave the little battery at home. Works great with a big battery and alligator clips

    Just one bigger battery is all…I got to make a box to keep it off the ice and so that it doesnt move around.. thx
