Giving some serious thought to picking up a shelter and have decided on the Clam Command post, just wondering if the thermal version is worth the extra money for occasional use?

Also I’m told to wait till feb and look for sales.

Any thoughts on either going with the thermal version or where to look to buy on sale??

    TIA

A friend of mine just got one last week and we fished out of it today. I was quite impressed with it. He has a double burner and it got too hot so we had to just use the one burner. Not much wind today so I can’t comment on how it handles it but i’m sure it would be fine when the anchors are in. It is not the thermal version.

Al, I told Jerry Ho to contact you. He had the insulated version on the ice at Petenwell yesterday.

Also, we stopped at Scheels on the way home…they were sold out.

The thought of waiting to buy ice gear at the end of the season is sound….unless there aren’t any available.

Check in with Thorne Bros and Chris Wallace for availability.
