    Hey Gentleman!!

Just thought this might be of use to some of you boys on the ice. I’ve really enjoyed my Otter hard Case this year protecting valuable Thorne Bros. Rods. I carry 5 rods per case with reels attached. I think 6 can be carried pretty easy as long as the rods are staggered in length. Usually each season in transport I’d break a few rods as the soft cases are worthless IMO for guys really doing the deal. Beyond that we’ve had a lot of snow and some slush up here which is pretty normal everywhere again. I have been using the rod case as a small/flat/dry work station while guiding this year. I LOVE IT. I rig tip ups there, and also use it to place flashers, tackle….out of the snow/slush. It has been very valuable beyond protecting my fishing rods, and packs perfect in the Otter sled. Our search and destroy team member also have all purchased them, and I assure you they were sick of breaking rods in transport also!! RIGHT ANDY!! Just thought this might be of use for others making ice fishing more efficient while protecting valuable gear!!

I highly suggest if your a serious portable fisherman or just someone that wants to protect your rods while not fighting with tangled messes EVERYDAY……PICK ONE UP!! One of my best investments of the year!!

I am giving the rod case a I really never thought I would like it as much as I do. It is especially helpful now that T-man is venturing out on the ice with friends. He can bring out our good rods, and I do not have to worry about how many pieces they are going to come back in.

I got the same case. I love it because it keeps my rods safe. I had one problem with it tho. It doesn’t look like there are enough rivets in the hindge. I had an issue with it bowing out. Any of you others have same same problem. I contacted otter and let me say they have great customer service. They are sending me a new one as we speak and have arranged for the other one to be picked up from my house. It is really nice to see a company stand behind there products like that.

You definately should break down your reels or collapse them in transport. Some of the handles on larger reels stick out along ways. In order for a snug fit the cases are not extra roomy for extra bulk. Yes Otter customer service
