Anyone been fishing Big Round?

I was wondering if anyone has been up to big round by balsam lake? Wondering if the panfish are bitting and maybe some tips about fishing that lake.

Fished it last weekend with a buddy. We put a couple tipups out for walleyes and jigged for crappies. We used crappie minnows in about 12 ft of water. I couldn’t catch a cold. My buddy caught 8 keeper crappies and a decent perch. He caught most of them on a plain hook. He caught a couple on some type of glow jig. Most of the fish were caught between 5:30 and 6:30 pm. We fished from 3:30 – 7:00.
