fised on desoto bay today and all i can say is SLOW in 3hrs 3 of us caught 5 fish there were a lot of fish around but not many takers i guess that is why they call it FISHING !!!!!

That seems to be the story. Can get a few early, but after 9:00 pretty much zilch. If you go out in the deeper water you can mark fish, but they refuse to hit anything.
January 13, 2011 at 7:17 am #925860Yep. Pretty much gave up on that game of cat & mouse on the Bay. Historically speaking ~ once we get into the teeth of January, action gets pretty touch and go. Gotta be in the right spot at the right time to put more than a handful on the ice.
