    Hey guys

Quick question for ya, when using a quickstrike rig while tip up fishing, what is the best way to keep a large sucker minnow from tripping flag. Headed to LOTW in the morning, and thinking of trying some flags.

    Thanks

If you have any off-shore clips you can take a short peice of line and tie one end to your tip up and the other to the clip and lightly place your mainline in the clip then you can run the biggest suckers you can find without worrying about fals flags.

Like Chris said clip the tail or cut off one of the fins on either side right behind the gills this will throw your minnow off balance and also keep them from popping the flag.
