Hey, has anyone tried that berkley gulp for ice fishing. I’ve seen it advertised on tv but I can’t find it in stores. If it is any good I’ll have to order a bottle.

You can’t find it in any store?? Odd…they are a dime a dozen in stores up here. I’ve had decent success w/them. They definitly last longer than a waxie, and fish seem to hold it a bit longer, maybe because of the flavor/scent?

I imagine they would work the same in summer? IF you need help getting some, let me know….I can get you some.

I’ve been using it this winter, and can honestly say that I don’t know if it works. I have’nt been catching much at all this year. The few times I’ve been on fish, they’ve been smallish. I will say that the gulp baits do stay on quite a bit better than the real thing though.

I used the red grubs. I broke them in half then thredded it onto a small jig. I got a few hitts on it, can’t say it’s my favorit bait, but it does work.

They carry GULP! in the WalMarts here. Check with Berkley, they can tell you where the are carried in your area.

I found gulp at the local walmart. The problem is that they only have catfish stuff. I’ll try finding out from berkley. Thanks

They are called Gulp! when in jars. The Powernaturals stuff is the earlier version of Gulp! The Powernatural stuff your seeing is a few years old now.
I have had alot of luck using these baits on hard and open water.

thank you ryan for pointing that out…I was told earlier this year when I ask if it was gulp or not that it was gulp, on another web site .. all we have in are area is power naturals, and big soft water baits marked gulp, what is the difference between the earlier ones “power naturals” and the later ones marked gulp other than the label?..

Jack, simply the label and a little older. They did not have all the Gulp! products ready so Purefishing labeled it under Powernaturals for a few years.
Remember when you done using it take it off your hook/jig and throw it in the water. If left on a hook it will get very hard.If you ever have questions on Purefishing products let me know.

Gulp is offering free samples on the Berkley wesite or in magazines. Gulp is not plastic and is concidered 100% bio-degradable. I have mailed in for a free sample of worms or tails what ever they send.

I posted on them in another forum not long ago.Really too big for the jigs I use and they dont show up at all on my flasher. Waxies are easier to see than the jig itself but the gulp pieces make it real hard to see your bait . My .02 cents

Does anyone know if they make the Gulp grubs in white? It might be a good open water bait. I’ve seen the long black Gulp that kind of looks like a leach, I would think they would work well.
